MTS (Ministry Training Strategy) seeks to multiply gospel workers through ministry apprenticeships. MTS exists to help local churches and ministries identify and train gifted individuals before helping them to decide on the next step in their ministry.

At St Thomas’, our prayer is that in 2030, by God’s grace, we would see

…streams of people being saved from judgement into a joyful and growing relationship with Jesus

…gathered with us into a gracious and grateful community shaped by Jesus’ love

…with the word of God in our hearts and on our lips

…together raising up and investing in generations of disciples for our needy city, country, and world.

We pray our MTS programme will raise up gospel workers to proclaim Jesus in love to our communities, our country, our world.

Current MTS Apprentice

It’s with great joy that we announce Nic Doherty as a ministry trainee for 2024-25. We are eager for what God has in store for Nic over the next few years and are excited to help train him for gospel work.

We would love for you to prayerfully consider partnering with Nic in this gospel ministry.

In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus says to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
